Magnifying mirrors and dispensers: bathroom details that count

Lit or unlit magnifying mirrors, soap dispensers, pedal bins and scales: the equipment that makes a hotel bathroom feel properly finished.

Lit wall-mounted magnifying mirror in a hotel bathroom

A great bathroom comes down to the details. Beyond the basic accessories, four items make a difference to the guest experience and to the housekeeping team’s work.

The magnifying mirror

Make-up, shaving, contact lenses: from the mid-range upwards, the magnifying mirror has become a must. What to look for:

  • Magnification: ×3 to ×5 suits most uses.
  • An articulated arm: it brings the mirror close to the face and folds back against the wall.
  • Built-in lighting: a lit mirror lights the face evenly, without shadows, even when the bathroom lighting is soft.
  • Mounting: wall-mounted, to save space on the vanity top, or freestanding in bathrooms where you can’t drill.

Our magnifying mirrors come in lit and unlit versions, wall-mounted or freestanding.

Soap dispensers

More and more hotels are replacing miniatures with wall-mounted dispensers for soap, shampoo and shower gel.

The benefits:

  • less plastic waste;
  • less handling: you refill instead of replacing;
  • a more responsible image, which guests appreciate.

What to watch:

  • dispensers that are easy to refill and clean, for impeccable hygiene;
  • a finish that matches the accessories (stainless steel, white, black);
  • built-in models for new builds or refurbishments, which disappear into the tiling;
  • clear pictograms to tell soap, shampoo and shower gel apart.

The pedal bin

A bin that slams every time it’s used, a lid that stays open, a bucket that’s hard to empty: it’s a detail that irritates. Choose:

  • a soft-close (damped) lid that’s quiet;
  • a removable inner bucket, easy to empty and wash;
  • a finish that matches the accessories;
  • a suitable capacity: 3 to 5 litres for a guest bathroom.

The toilet brush

It should be enclosed, stable and easy to clean. A wall-mounted model frees the floor and makes cleaning easier. Our pedal bins and toilet brushes come in several finishes.

The little extras

  • A tempered glass bathroom scale, popular with long-stay and sporty guests.
  • A retractable clothesline over the bath for swimwear and washing.
  • A shelf under the mirror for the wash bag.

Bringing it all together

The mirror, dispensers, bin and brush should speak the same language as the robe hooks and towel rails. A single finish for the whole bathroom gives an immediate impression of quality.

In short

  1. A magnifying mirror on an articulated arm, lit if possible.
  2. Wall-mounted dispensers that are easy to refill.
  3. A soft-close bin and an enclosed brush.
  4. A consistent finish.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does a hotel bathroom need a magnifying mirror?

Guests expect one from the mid-range upwards, and it's much appreciated for make-up, shaving and contact lenses. A wall-mounted model on an articulated arm, ideally lit, is the most practical.

Soap dispensers or individual products?

Wall-mounted dispensers reduce plastic waste and restocking time. They need to be easy to refill and clean, and to match the style of the bathroom.

Which bin is best for a hotel bathroom?

A pedal bin with a soft-close lid and a removable inner bucket: quiet, hygienic and quick to empty.
