How to choose your table tops
Melamine, laminate or wood?
Melamine is economical and easy to live with. Laminate stands up better to knocks, scratches and stains: the choice for very busy dining rooms. Solid wood and wood veneer bring warmth and character, with more careful upkeep.
Which top size?
Allow 60 × 60 cm for two covers, 70 × 70 to 80 × 80 cm for four on a square table, 120 × 80 cm for six. For a round table, 70 cm in diameter for two and 90 cm for four.
Table or high table?
Standard table height is 73 to 75 cm; a high table is around 105 to 110 cm. Tell us the height you need in your request.
